Thank you for your interest in trading with R.S.H Artisan Markets.
We organise friendly, well-run artisan markets across Yorkshire, including Skipton, Settle, Haworth and White Rose Shopping Centre, Leeds, along with selected seasonal and one-off events throughout the year.
Our aim is to create markets that are welcoming, professional and enjoyable for everyone involved — traders, visitors, venues and local communities. We are proud to work with a fantastic mix of independent businesses, makers, producers, artists, crafters and food traders, all bringing something different to each location.
At the heart of R.S.H Artisan Markets is a simple approach: quality traders, a good atmosphere, strong organisation and a market community where people look out for one another.
Our Traders
We are proud to work with a friendly and supportive group of traders who care about what they do. Many of our traders make, bake, grow, design, create or produce their own products, while others carefully source directly from producers and small independent businesses.
We ask that the majority of products on your stall are either:
- made by you as the producer,
- designed or created by you,
- or sourced directly from the producer or maker.
This helps us maintain the quality, variety and independent feel of our markets.
We also work carefully to avoid too much duplication between stalls. Where possible, we aim to offer visitors a good variety of products while giving traders the best possible chance to do well. Similar stall types may be accepted where the market size allows, but we always try to make sure each trader brings their own style, products or approach.
More Essential Information
Pitch Size & Fees
Standard pitches at our markets are generally 3m x 3m, unless agreed otherwise in advance.
We respectfully ask all traders to remain within their allocated pitch area and to be considerate of neighbouring traders. This helps keep the market safe, tidy and professional for both visitors and stallholders.
Regular market pitch fees are usually between £30 and £45 for a standard 3m x 3m pitch, depending on the location.
For larger pitches, seasonal events and special markets, prices may vary depending on the event, venue and space required. Please contact us directly for full details.
White Rose Shopping Centre, Leeds is priced separately, with table spaces currently charged at £48 per table, unless otherwise stated for a specific event.
Bookings & Payments
Once your booking has been accepted, an invoice will be issued.
Payment is required upon receipt of invoice, and your booking is only fully confirmed once payment has been received.
Please note that spaces are not guaranteed until payment has been made. Due to demand at some of our markets, unpaid spaces may be released to other traders.
Refunds are not usually given unless at least 14 clear days’ cancellation notice has been provided.
If a market has to be cancelled by R.S.H Artisan Markets due to safety concerns, severe weather or circumstances outside our control, we will contact traders directly with the relevant information.
What You Need To Bring
Unless stated otherwise for a specific event, traders are required to provide their own trading equipment.
This includes:
- a suitable commercial-quality gazebo,
- sufficient gazebo weights for the weather conditions,
- tables,
- table coverings,
- display equipment,
- signage,
- and anything else needed to present a clean, safe and professional stall.
Unfortunately, we do not have storage facilities to provide gazebos or equipment for traders.
Your gazebo must be of a suitable standard and able to withstand normal outdoor trading conditions. We strongly recommend using a good-quality commercial gazebo rather than a lightweight domestic one. If you are unsure what to buy, please speak to us and we will gladly point you in the direction of recommendations from experienced traders.
Weights are essential. The safety of traders, visitors and the public must always come first. Traders without suitable weights may not be allowed to trade.
Insurance Documents & Legal Requirements
All traders must have the correct documentation in place before attending any R.S.H Artisan Market.
All traders are required to have:
- Public Liability Insurance,
- a suitable risk assessment,
- and any relevant certificates or documents relating to their products or business.
Food traders must also have:
- food business registration with their local authority,
- a Food Standards Agency hygiene rating where applicable,
- food hygiene certification,
- suitable handwashing facilities,
- correct food handling procedures,
- and any required allergen information.
Alcohol traders must have:
- their own Temporary Event Notice where required,
- Challenge 25 procedures in place,
- and all relevant licensing documents.
Traders selling products such as cosmetics, skincare, candles or other regulated items must be able to provide any required safety documentation, including CPSR documents where applicable.
Please also note that we do not allow the sale of copyrighted, branded or licensed products unless proof of permission or licence to sell can be provided.
Trading Times
Our regular outdoor market trading times are usually:
Settle and Haworth:
10:00am – 3:00pm
Skipton:
10:00am – 4:00pm
White Rose Shopping Centre, Leeds:
Saturday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Sunday: 11:00am – 5:00pm
Trading times may vary for special events, seasonal markets or one-off locations. Full details will be confirmed before each event.
We ask that traders do not pack away early unless they have sold out or have been given permission by the market organiser on the day.
Vehicles will not be allowed onto site for packing up until after the official market finish time. This is to keep the public, traders and event staff safe.
Presentation & Professional Standards
We want all R.S.H markets to look welcoming, professional and well presented.
Traders are asked to make sure their stall is clean, tidy, attractive and suitable for a public-facing event. Good presentation helps the whole market and makes a big difference to the customer experience.
We ask that traders:
- keep their pitch area tidy,
- display prices clearly where possible,
- remove all rubbish at the end of the day,
- treat other traders, customers, venue staff and organisers with respect,
- and help maintain the friendly atmosphere our markets are known for.
We are proud of the trader community we have built and want every market to feel positive, supportive and enjoyable.
